In my other post dealing with stella for you I indicated the command line options you should use were the following:
-fullscreen 1 "%path%\%rom%.%ext%"

What I did to get Stella to go full screen was when I start a game you hit "Tab" which brings up the video, audio, input selections...if you go to video, there is a box to check for fullscreen...just turn it on, should work.

Sorry to dreg up an old topic but I'm noticing that this will not bring Stella to fullscreen on my cab... I can get it to go fullscreen on my laptop but on my cab, which uses a standard TV, it goes "fullscreen" but in reality it only looks about 1/4 of the size of the screen, surrounded by a black frame. Anyone know how to knock this up to full screen? I"m wondering if it's something outside of Stella, like in my video drivers or something...

I am not at home right now, but you might want to see if stella has some resolution or video command line options you could try out. When certain emulators did not display properly on my TV, I just tried all the video option combinations and something usually ended up working. If nothing works, then I would play around with your video card settings and see what happens.
Do you have other non-Mame emulators on your cabinet which display fine, or is this the first non-Mame emulator you are trying to add.

Fusion, Snes9x, Zsnes, Gens all work fine in fullscreen.
I'm not at home either ;D ... will have to try more
experiments when I get back

Far be it from me to even make out like a software expert, because I'm not - but I do have a question. Vid, I am curious if it has something to do with the version number of Stella - the new, supposedly stable one just crashed my computer when I tried to go to fullscreen (restart, notification of flaw with active desktop, etc).
The method I mentioned did work with version 2.1 on my computer....just a thought.
Also, what I've found today is that I will probably have to do the TAB ingame but then click on "game properties" and just tweak the settings there per game to get everything as nicely displayed as I can. I have Pac-Man as close to perfect as it seems to want to get at about 156 wide, 206 horizontal. Remember I am using a wide screen TV though.
Again, my two cents for what they're worth....
