How reliable is Classic Arcade Graphix?

And then there is the confusion about arcadegrafix.com and Classic Arcade Grafix (that persisted longer than it should have).

The term "inkjet" conjures up images of a guy running stuff through his little HP photo printer. I doubt that is the case (and I attribute the label to folks in RGVAC, not to TOK)

From what I read in Gameroom a few months back, their repros are tough and durable and geared for small runs. They tried to license artwork from Gottlieb, but Gottlieb's requirements for quality (e.g. silk screening on glass or wood) were too expensive. I would not expect the quality to match NOS artwork ... in fact, the owner has said that they get  dealers submitting NOS artwork for repro because it is too valuable to put on a game. (I bet they have it repro'd by CAG, then sell the NOS on eBay to guys from RGVAC).

And there is the fact that a lot of the RGVAC guys are like the RGP guys ... perfect and original or nothing at all.

Cheers.

You can always feel confident with quality and quick turnaround when ordering from www.mamemarquees.com

I have ordered from them several times. There work is awesome. I like it better than Mame marquees stuff. mm's side art is not glossy like cag's and has a textured feel rather than smooth. Another thing about m.marquees is there marquees are sticky and never dry which means you cant clean them. All of cag's stuff can be cleaned with windex. the quality of there work is worth the wait. :) All the art work on my robocp arcade is from cag.

I also went there based on what I read here. The problem for me there is that I want a repro of art that I don't have. The stuff I saw on mamemarquees.com is all generic or says MAME on it.  Classicarcadegraphix has the exact marquee and they can create it in a custom size. I've already looked for the art that I need on places like localarcade, and it's just not out there because its not a real common machine (Sky Soldiers).

I'm not restoring an original machine, so I guess the consensus on CAG's work is that it'll be good enough for me. Thanks!

These are exactly the reasons why I bought mine there as well. And to close this topic; I received my CPO and Marquee in the mail today. THey are of EXCELLENT quality and much better than I even hoped for. My fear was unfounded. THese guys are pro's, without a shadow of a doubt. Highly recommended!
