I'm not accusing you of censorship, saint. I haven't seen you delete any posts in here (that I'm aware of). I'm just calling a spade a spade. As you said, you posted in this thread for one reason, to give your opinion. But you obviously were only interested in sharing your opinion about one particular slogan. Not one that you liked, not one that you hoped would win, not one that you voted for, but one you hope doesn't win.
I won't debate what your intentions were there, but you follow it up by suggesting that Santoro should determine the final token NOT based on which one might actually win the vote, but by it's marketability.

Just because this is Saint's site doesn't mean that he has no right to express his opinion just like anyone else. Hell, throwing opinions around willy-nilly is what made this place great. You're certainly not showing any reservations about sharing your opinion on this subject. I voted for "all your game" but you talked me out of it. I'm off to change my vote.
Saint- when you're sick of the horsepoo, you know you're always welcome where everybody knows your name. :)

Oh great, now 2 people have changed their vote.
Oh well, I was psyched it was second. Hopefully we get some swing votes in the second round, since it might make the cut...

It seems that there are really 3 locations to decide...where "the game is never over" (cocktail side), "build. restore. play." (BYOAC top) and "all your game..." (BYOAC bottom).
I really think we might as well vote on three slogans. The reason is IF the "build restore play" slogan is selected it might stay where it is on top of the BYOAC side? I really like the look of the BYAOC side the way it is. I would go prefer seeing only one change if "build. restore. play." is a winner and can stay where it is. Thoughts?
if we get it down to a top 5-7 and then have separate votes for A (cocktail side), B (BYOAC bottom), C (BYOAC top)?

I agree with the "less is more" mentality. I think we already have the slogan in place as it was submitted by JoyMonkey on his design - Build, Restore, Play. This is also the 1st place slogan in the vote.
Santoro says he wants "No Cash Value" on their so put it at the bottom of that JoyMonkey's design.
On the front, I think there is not enough room for any of the slogans other than "Cocktails Anyone?" HOWEVER, I feel that slogan is too cutesey and would have to be explained to guests as much as "All Your Game..." It is not a retro slogan, but is based on the users' knowledge of arcade machines.
My suggestion would be to just use the "www.arcadecontrols.com" tagline centered around the bottom of the token (front side) as depicted below. How many people here would refuse to buy tokens with that design?

Great idea to simplify, but the cocktail cabinet would then overlap the text and that opens this whole thing up for a lot of re-designing to make it fit.
I wouldn't want to change a token that much when people have already voted on the layout. I would rather keep text around the same length, placement, and appearence so it is as similar to what was voted upon as possible. That's why I suggested adding a 3rd location so that "Build. Restore. Play." might stay where it is when people voted for it. The BYOAC invader is a rockin' design!
I think that disussing the slogans is great since more people take a creative roll in this years tokens. It's been a lot of fun sharing ideas. Let's not get to complicated and vote on slogans that fit the space in the designs.
