Need some help with nes emulater on mamewah

(1/3) > >>

wallywalt:
It seems everything is setup right. The emulater works fine out of mamewah, but when trying to open a game within mamewah this is the error I receive:
FCE Ultra Error
Error opening "=verifyroms"

Im using the latest version of mamewah and the nes emulater is fceu.

Here is my ini file, maybe its a setting in here?

Based on the INI file contents, it seems like you are using version "MameWah1.61", however, I noticed your INI file name is called "nintendo_162b10.ini" ..... so does this mean you think you are using version MameWah1.62b10 instead of the MameWah1.61 ?

Anyway, here is Jcrouse's INI file for FceUltra which I got fro mhis CPViewer site:

http://www.emuchrist.org/cpviewer/downloads/nintendo/nintendo_162b10.ini

You will notice it is recommended to use FceUltra as follows:

c:\fceu\fceu.exe {8.3[rompath]\[name].[romext]}{dosbox}{safelaunch}

wallywalt:
I thought 1.61 is the latest version, I can't find anything more recent.
That ini is the same one i was trying to use, but when i start mamewah it changes all the settings to the following: (this is getting frustrating  :banghead:)

MameWah is a good program but it can be very frustrating ..... I know .... I set up about 30+ emulators on it.   Editing INI files by hand gets tedious, but once you do a few then you will learn what it takes.

I decided to switch to the MALA frontend to test it out and found it to be everything I wanted.   Extremely easy and nice GUI.   Anyway, I was able to setup all my emulators in about 20 minutes.  As a result,  I would recommend trying MALA to see if you think it is easier.

Although, if you want to stay with MameWah, then you can get the Beta version here:

http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=arcadeospc2jamma

Once the site opens, make sure the click the "-" button to collapse all the threads into a much more readable format.  You will then see the thread regarding MameWah1.62b10 .......

wallywalt:
does anyone have a working ini for mamewah 1.61?  I get an error when trying to load the rom still, and i would like to stick with mamewah, I like it for mame and if i can get my other emulaters working that would be great.
