How many people are waiting to order spinners from GroovyGameGear?
psychopanda:
I'm looking to buy a Turbo Twist in about three months, depending on how much $ I have to sink into the cab in the meantime. ;)
Looks like the spinner got a good review on Retroblast too. :)

I think they're great! I waited for over a month as well, but it was worth the wait.

what other games are you wanting to play? I think puzzle loop, and puzzle bobble work with 2 spinners, there is some breakout games like off the wall and some japanese version of arkanoid. Just curious what games your wanting to play?

Does Puzzle Bobble work with spinners? I tried to get it to work and couldn't using Mame .87
Not meaning to hijack. Also, I have listed and made comments about a bunch of spinner games at the bottom of my Hillbilly Spinner article on Retroblast!
Cheers,

Xam touched on what it is, but his description might be a bit confusing.
A rotary stick IS an 8 way joystick. However, the joystick handle can also rotate as well as move in the 8way movement.
What that means in gameplay like Ikari warriors is you can push the joystick forward in order to move your character forward, and rotate your character at the same time in order to shoot to the left, right, or down directions.

LOL!...yeah...like I was saying! Thanks for putting it much better than I did. I was trying to say this, but had not yet had morning coffee when I wrote.

I think a topfire (or flight stick) plus spinner is a great alternative to a rotary joystick....
