Genesis Emulation, multiplayer troubles.

JonnyBoy:
Hey guys,

I finished my project and am working on setting up the software. I have SNES, NES, and the like up and running smoothly, but I am having a problem with Genesis emulation.

The two best emulators, from what I read, are Gens and Kega (Now Fusion). But when I tried both of these emulators, two players would cause certain shortcuts to go off and load up menus and stuff that I don't want to load up. How can I avoid this? They are standard MAME controls.

An example would be, when a friend and I play, randomly a screen will pop up prompting us to load a save state or Rom or something.

Thanks for the help.

Brad:
Remap the controls in Fusion

What kind of kb encoder did you use?  If it is a straght kb hack, or a cheap kb encoder, you might be experiencing keyboard ghosting.

You may only see it in the genesis emulators because of the emus choice for menu shortcuts.

I'm using an IPAC, standard configuration.

When I remap the keys in Fusion, it still sets off those shortcuts, because they are macros in the software itself and there is no option to turn them off...

Thanks for the responses.

I don't have this problem...Fusion is very cabinet friendly.  Make sure you have the latest version and make sure you run it with the -fullscreen switch.  If you run in a window I can see using the 'Alt' key would almost certainly cause problems.
