Replacement Mounting plates for Ultimarc Joys

(1/5) > >>

ArcadEd:
Since I have a few customers requesting Ultimarc Mag Sticks for their arcade boxes, I'm planning on making some replacement mounting plates that fit the standard HAPP joystick hole layout.

I make them with 1/16" alumunim on my CNC router.  I was just kind of curious if this is something I should offer up on my site, or if they are available elsewhere right now.

Thanks for the feedback.

RetroJames:
I think it would be a great idea.  I made some to use with WICO plate pattern, but some made properly would be nice.

As an aside, I will be the first to get some if you move forward.  I have a Dynamo cabinet that came with Happs, but I would like to use Ultimarc sticks.

Also, you might ping Andy at Ultimarc and see if you can offer them on his site as well. I am sure he would be very interested.

ArcadEd:
Great to hear.  I'll try to get a sheet of them done up this weekend.

And good idea on contacting Andy, I'll do that.

What do you think would be a good price for them?  Should I sell them in pairs, or individual?

And James, it was actually that article that made me think of this ;).

Oh, and my other "thing" is moving forward, expect and update on the yahoo group in the next few days.

Not sure on price, I made mine for about $1.00 each, but they were a pain. I would certainly pay more than $1 not to have to make them again.

Maybe individual with a break for two or more? I personally needed two before, and I need two now, but obviously some folks would only need the one.

Happy to help with my Replacement Mounting Plates for Ultimarc Joysticks (TM)(Pat Pend)(C) idea. :)

ChicagoDave:
Great idea!  A guy at work made one for me and it works great.  It would be nice to have someone that made these readily available to the community.
