Building a star wars yoke...have a question

Ok- it probably isnt 90 degrees each way, becasue you would end up with nearly 360-degree movement.  But 45 seems to little, gives about 270-degrees, I made a quick sketch to show what 45-degrees looks like.  Maybe go to 60-degrees.....

That might work. I would think though, with the windows calibration you could compensate for the difference. It may affect gameplay slightly, but should still be quite playable...

Oh, from your earlier post, I thought you were talking about the forward-and-back motion of the handles, used to aim in Star Wars.  Your pics make me think you're talking about the right-to-left motion of the steering instead.  That might be closer to 90.

There must be somebody with a real SW yoke that can take measurements for you.  I could try mine, but it's not from SW, and might not match.

In  my earlier post I was talking about the forward and back motion, I think I have that all hammerred out, was just looking for more knowledge on the x-axis rotation (left to right).

i have an original SW yoke. it's 70 degrees.
