RandyT, question for you about some of your products
Kremmit:
Randy has stated that they do not appear to be compatible; based on the pictures he has seen. The RGBDrive and the leaf bracket will bump into each other.
I don't think anybody has tried to modify one yet.

Ponyboy has offered to send me one. I should probably just buy a few from him to play with.
The RGB-Drive boards rely on the fact that the switches do not use the space directly under the bottom of the button, so that's where they "live". These leaf assemblies also rely on that area being unoccupied, so you can see the contention.
In order to give stability to the adapter, there are structures at the top and bottom to simulate the width of a microswitch and lock it into the button. To make it fit with an RGB-Drive, would require the removal of the upper structure, which *might* allow the leaf assembly to "twist" or move out of position.
Then again, a little super glue might do wonders ;)

Okay, I have a little while before I need to make my button decision. My ultimate goal is to have RGB's and leaf switched, and I'm not sure if my soldering skills are up to the test of four lines coming from one LED. I would mount them like the orange buttons in Kneivels thread, but I just don't know. Is there RGB's that have the appropriate resistors and wiring attached out there in the world? If so, I would be greatly appreciated as to their location.
mccoy178:
Looking at that picture it looks as though that leaf switch adaption would only need the normal area a microswitch would be. I'll shoot Ponyboy a PM and see what he thinks.

Upon further review, I can't tell if the holes are a little higher or not. But it does appear to have the exact same footprint as a microswitch in the area of concern.
