Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've had Mame 8 running on my cab for awhile, and I just got the OptiWiz....oh what a difference.  I can actually play trackball games now, versus playing with the analog settings!

Anyway, I got the GT2K rom and the latest mame and it plays fine, but it doesn't "see" the trackball?  I know I'm out of the loop somewhat with mame releases but anyone know if it's just me or is there something about GT2K with a trackball?  I have the USB version of the OptiWiz and it's been running fantabulous since I set it up the other day.

Any input is appreciated.....

Thanks.

Okay, I'll assume from the lack of response that it's just me.....I'll keep researching it.

UPDATE:

Okay, it was a really dumb question, but I'll post it anyway for anyone else who stumbles down this path.

So I downloaded the latest mame to try GT2K, fired it up from command line and the trackball (usb mouse via optiwiz) wasn't recognized.  I never created a mame.ini file!   So a quick mame -cc and then edit to change the trackball line from "0" to "1" and problem solved.  What a dumb move on my part....but I now feel like the chimp who stacked the boxes to reach the bananas!   ;D
