101 new and free games?
unclet:
I looked at only a few of these "free" games and it seems like these are mostly game demos (not the full game) and as is with any game demo .... the demo is free.
Should be called "101 Free Game Demos" or "101 Free Incomplete Games"
Good information though since it seems these will be enjoyable ..... just think the title is misleading.
Hey, do all of these games require the internet to play over the web or can I download these to my computer and just play against the computer?

Also many of the links are dead or link to old versions of the games. On top of that there are several errors in the info. The "virtual pinball" and mame combo comes to mind. ;)

Plus, you get to say "Booty!" a lot.
As for the games, looks like there are lots of demos, some broken links, some web-only games, but also quite a few totally free, complete games, including the only totally free, complete game I'm aware of on the Steam platform- Project: Gordon. Several of the download links have other interesting looking games on them, too.
When I'll ever find the time to play them is another question.

Truely free games would be nice since I would throw them on my cabinet. Looks like a lot of games there my kids would like, but I would not want to have them play some of them to only be stopped at a certain level and then asked to pay for the rest of it. I understand the people should get paid for these games ... no problem ... just do not love them saying they are free ... i guess. Not a real big deal to me ... just thought I would save some people some time.

also some of them, while impressive are a little "wonky" programatically.
Take the ninja loves pirates demo. While running it throws 200 or so temp files out in what ever directory it is stored on. I tired it on a disc that didn't have much space left and it crashed, only it didn't tell me it crashed and I had to manually clean all that crud out of the folder. Also it's "window" doesn't have any controls so you can't move it and autostartup in fullscreen doesn't work.
The codename Gordon game? Well you have to do some crazy signup on the steam website to download it. Mind you it's a great game but if you don't like it, you've just wasted 20-40 minutes just to get it running.
Lots of neusances like that. I appreciate the effort, but as poorly as the site is designed, I'd rather just have a plain-text list of all the games so I can google them and get them myself.
