Not at all.... the cd versions are the same games.  The thing is 100 meg+ rom chips were very expensive at the time (still are) so some popular games on the home system were released in cd form to help with the cost.  If they weren't on cds then you'd literally be paying as much for the home version as you would for the arcade cart.

I DO have an NGP emulator on my cab because the games translate very well to a cab system... even with the graphics blown up way above what they were originally intended for.

I assumed that the graphics would be the biggest drawback; however, my friend has a NGP color, and samurai showdown II and the capcom vs snk card game are both very well done.

I understood the cost issues; however, it is true that several games were released exclusively for the Neo Geo CD.  Off the top of my head I know that Iron Clad and Samurai Showdown RPG were released exclusively for the CD.  But yes, the CD originated as a cheap solution to the hundreds of dollars an AES did, and still does, cost-the biggest barrier for me to pick one up  >:(

Heh  if you want to call iron clad and sam sho rpg games, then yeah they were exclusive.  I call em crap.  ;)

Never really played them, so I'll take your word for it that theyre crap, in which case I defer to your point that the sets are the same  :P
