advancemame for DOS questions?

(1/1)

Matthew Fisher:
If anybody knows:  Do the advancemame versions correspond to the official mame versions?  In other words, if a game/feature/driver has been added to/fixed in/improved in mame .102 for windows, for example, is it in advancemame .102 (for windows and DOS) as well?

I'm just curious as official dmame hasn't been updated in a while and was wondering if advancemame could be used as a substitute without using any of the advanced video features.  Thanks in advance.

Matt

JoyMonkey:
In a word, yes.

Setting it up with a standard vga monitor shouldn't be too difficult, but I've heard that some people have had issues with it. Give it a try and see. Can't hurt.

Matthew Fisher:
Will do!

Matthew Fisher:
Oh, and thank you.   ;D
