So the path in the inin folder in MameWah is correct but I still get no games.
I will try some more stuff but I am checking back here to see if anyone has posted some ideas.

Did you generate your list, if so, did you use romlist vs. xml or romlist vs. info (I think thats the other key option)? If not, make sure you generate your lists. Furthermore, I might suggest you trying Screaming's Mamewah Config, as the GUI helps make setup slightly easier, especially when you begin to do multi-emu setups.

HOTR6, I'm almost in the same boat.
I've had MAMWAH downloaded for over a month and read those docs AT LEAST 6 times. I'm hesitating at starting because I'm not comfortable with the steps (guess I just need to plan for a couple hours and jump in!) (btw, I was a programmer for many years and have built over a dozen PCs, it's still intimidating!)
where would I find "Screaming's Mamewah Config"? I'll try a search after this post. I'll provide the link if i find it.

Ok. Just set this up on another PC took me all of about 5 minutes from download to running games. Grab the main zip file and the support files from the download site http://mamewah.mameworld.net/downloads.htm Unzip the mamewah 1.61 to any directory you want (I used mamewah) and unzip the support files to a temp directory(I used temp). From the temp director double click the SETUP.BAT file. Reboot system if the PC doesn't do it for you.
Mame setup. Get the WINDOWS COMMAND LINE version of mame. Unzip it to a dir called MAME. Make sure this is in your root directory ( C:\MAME ). Put one or 2 roms in the roms directory. No more. We are testing.
Mamewah should start at this point (click the mamewah.exe file). If it doesn't you botched the support files install.
Once mamewah starts hit your 2 key. The 2 key above your normal keys - not the one on the keypad. Game List Options will show up. Hit the 1 key on game list. Hit the 1 key on Generate list. The 1 or 2 romes you used should show up and htting the 1 key on any game will launch it.
If you want to deviate from my simple plans be prepared to do some reading...

Thanks Miles. I never read about generating the list in MameWah. As aoon as I went in and pushed 2 and then generated my list the games came up! I will have to now figure how to set up another Emu.
My assumption is that you go to one of the other inis in the folder and set it up with the proper config for that emulator. Specifically I am going to set up a Nes emu.
After that I would like to play with it and figure out how to change the front end and get the pictures on it and stuff.
Thanks for the help!
Maybe I will type up the step by step. I will have to have someone who really knows to proof read it and make sure I did it right.
