Running MAME of external (internal) HDD

(1/2) > >>

Franco:
I have a spare 10GB 3.5" internal HDD. Would it be possible to connect it to a PC with an IDE -> USB cable + PSU (which I have) and then run MAME on another computer? If so would it leave any trace on the computer that I had run MAME?

Franco:
Any ideas guys? I know I have not long posted the original question but the 10GB drive I have doesn't work and there are a few of a similar size going really cheap on ebay at the mo.

Basically can I play MAME of an external HDD on my works comp without them knowing I have?

I have tried AdvanceCD but it will not work with our monitors.

Thanks

Yes it will work fine.  The command line version of mame will not leave any traces.  The simple fact that you do not want work to know about it tells me that you shouldn't do it.  Not worth loosing a job over pac man.

Thanks.

Its OK, my friend plays flash Pacman on it for about five hours aday so there isn't a problem there, plus 6 hours a day im unsupervised anyway, just trying to liven up those long machining cycles!

I would wonder if the fact that an external hard disk was attached would be noticed by anyone.
