Bah, it's not that scary, just heavy.  I was super nervous the first time I did it.  Just be sure to completely plan out what you are going to do with everything once you move it out of the case.  There are fragile parts and as long as you prepare properly, you will be fine.  There are multiple examples on this site of how to ground the t.v. so the risk of shock is gone.  I would bet the wiki has an explanation.

Yeah you're right. Beginners take this stuff too lightly & grounding issues can be serious.

But it would still be a great way to get a 20" screen for way less than a monitor.
Can't have it both ways, aye comrade?

i would have built a monitor shelf if i didnt have experenced help with my monitor

he helped me deshell it and mount it properly
(allways discharge that coil properly)
i managed to remount the screen later with little help mmm vert
