Those with 25-27" tvs in Cabs

cdbrown:
I have a 27" tv in my cab.  Own design based loosely around Midway cabs.  TV had speakers either side of the screen and I couldn't be bothered in removing it from the case so the thing is huge.  Link is over to the left <-----

nipsmg:
The UAII will fit a 27" cabinet.

go to mameroom.com and check it out. (You can buy a kit OR buy plans)..

My Cabinet has a 27" tv/monitor in it :  http://arcadia.gerety.net/gallery

Depends of course on the TV.  I got lucky and happened to find a Magnavox (Philips) 27" that fits perfectly in my Dynamo cab.  Don't have pics of it installed, but the cab is 25-1/2" inside and the TV is about 25-1/4" with the case intact.  The speakers are on the bottom.  Costco sells the identical TV in the Philips flavor with speakers on the sides and it's nearly 30" wide.  I almost got that one (knowing I would have to decase it) until I happened on the Mag...Personally, I really like the size of the 27" screen much better than the original 25" arcade monitor that was mounted in it - makes a big difference in vertical games...

i measured across the front of my tv, and built my cab of that.  it measured out to like 25 in or something so built my cab to 25.5in(+1.5in for mdf) i noticed later (after the cab is built) that the tv bows out on the side making it like 25.75in.  just  a bit two big.  i didnt want to but looks like im going to have to decase my tv.  (or try to dremal out that plastic hump......)
