MAME Intro Movies 106 *out now
Circo:
Just wanted to let everyone know that if you just can't get these vids on torrents for some reason I am now offering them up on DVD with the rest of my EmuMovies sets. I had done this before, then my website crashed, I have finally got around to offering them again. It is a five DVD set and includes all of the EmuMovies releases as well as Cdbrowns mame vids.

This may have already been dealt with before, and I suspect there's a good reason for not doing it...but the existence of these EmuMovies has me thinking: why couldn't a front-end (like MameWah for example) have a small window in place of the screenshot area, that automatically plays the ROM file, and skips ahead a certain number of frames, so, essentially, we'd have authentic game previews, and these movies would not need to be manually generated?
Wouldn't that save a TON of work? The previews could even read off of a global .ini file that contains beginning and ending frame references, per ROM. Edited by the community or whatever.
I'm pretty sure that (he whose name I dare not speak) had this going on in the front-end for Ultra**** machines?
Am I on crack? Or is this just not possible?

Buddabing:
That won't work.
Circo:
To late now anyway, the mame set is complete minus a few new additions, and I have completed many of the console systems already. Although I still have quite a few to go but since they are not mame based it would probably be impossible to have a frontend do it. Plus on most of the console releases I have to manually play the game and then do a system reset to get the intro sequences. It's a lot of hard work to be sure, but in some sick, twisted way, I kind of enjoy doing it.
Like I have said before, I built my cab so I could spend YEARS setting it up.... what a hobby

I guess that's what a hobby is all about.
