What he said...

You should also use a more recent version of Mamewah and use the {safelaunch} flag.

I'll give it a try minwah, but I really do not want to upgrade my version of mamewah, too much work reconfiguring all of the ini files.

Unless you wanna help me  ;)

Sure...I would recommend you go for v1.62b7 available here: http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=49772&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1&new=1130444752

How many emulators do you have setup?  I can give you a hand switching over...also JCrouse has ini's for --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type-- here (essentially the same as b7): http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer/mamewahinifiles.htm

Minwah:
As an example, here is how your zsnes.ini file would look for v1.62b7:

nms_file
catver_ini_file
list_generation_method                    rom_folder

### Execution Settings ###
pre_emulator_app_commandlines
emulator_commandline                      G:\Emulation\zsnesw\zsnesw.exe "[rompath]\[name].[romext]"{safelaunch}
post_emulator_app_commandlines
general_app_commandlines

### Artwork Locations ###

### Screen-Saver Settings ###

select_random_game                        0
saver_type                                movie
movie_path                                G:\Emulation\mamewah2\avi\snes

Its the button remapping for mamewah itself that scares me, took me ages to get just right and I hear that configuration is different with the new version..

You can still use your same ctrlr file - it will just need renaming.  Also the latest ctrlr file has more shortcut events, but you can just cut & paste these in if you wish.  Compare your ctrlr file to the attached...

Of course I should have said whatever you do make a backup of your current setup just in case.  In fact it is probably best to setup the beta version in a completely new folder until you are happy with it.
