Another Guncon 2 question

<< < (4/4)

Acorn:
Hmm, interesting... I've never had them not copy over. At most, I've had to disconnect and reconnect the gun after installing if it didn't catch it. I'll see if there is anything I missed - dunno.

Quick note on the installer link I gave from before: It creates the shortcuts slightly incorrectly, setting the "working directory" wrong. Meaning profiles won't be read/saved if you use any of the installer created shortcuts to launch wingun. Not a big deal but thought I'd let you know.

0.8B is comming shortly, and should improve support for multiple guns 100x (I finally got two to test myself hehe).

Steadier? Hmm, I havn't released anti-jitter yet, but I suppose it would appear to have some of the same effect if better calibrated. Use it if you like it, as always :P

I did try turning the gun off and on (it's wireless and has an on/off button) and it made sounds like it was trying to load the driver then a failed sound. Once I did the driver update from device manager though it's fine. I suppose you caould manually copy the drivers over to system32\drivers to get them there. Anyways, it works much better for me.

I assume the steadiness does come from better calibration. Here's a link to the gun I got. so far it's been great with very good range and responsiveness. I have the transmitter inside my cabinet and can use the gun on a white screen all the way across the room > 15 feet. Of course darker games like Area 51 require me to be somewhat closer, maybe about 4-5 feet.

I'm really looking forward to the next version and will probably get a second one of these guns now that you have two :). Unless someone can point me to a great wireless gun with force feedback and laser pointing :)

Thanks!

Hmm, its odd that its not copying the files - thats not something I'm doing, thats something Windows hardware installer is supposed to do when you throw an inf at it. *shrug*. If anyone else has the problem I'll try to find a workaround.

Oh yea, make sure you uninstall Smog's driver before trying to install mine, and vice versa. Sometimes they conflict/do weird things.

I'd love to get a wireless gun! Too expensive at the moment, later maybe :) Post a review of your gun in my forum! Trying to get a review of every guncon2 around, from someone that has used one.

P.S. Check out http://guncon.acornscity.com - V0.8B is out.
