The basic answer is you don't want the same button activating two inputs.

If you are mainly using MAME, you can wire the button to the left Opti-Pac terminal (only) and set MAME up to use the left mouse button for that input.

If you need to use it for other games, I think there is a program called keymouse (?) that will let you send a keystroke when you click the mouse button.

Alternately, I don't know if there's a way to wire the button to the J-PAC and use software to send a mouse-click when the key is pressed, possibly with UltraKeyBoard or AutoHotKey.

Well i want the same button to be used as the left mouse button for windows, and then it would be a service button in Mame i.e, pause, menu etc. I was under the impression that it was ok to have the J-PAC and Opti-PAC wired to the same button??

I would think you could wire it to both inputs and the only problem would be that pressing the button would send BOTH and keypress and a mouse-click (which could be bad for some games), but I think others have said it causes problems.  At this point, you might E-mail Andy about it and post back what he replies.
