cabinet prices

kiddk1:
what would one pay for a cabinet(none working) in decent condition from an arcade dealer.  I have been calling around and received different prices.  I just talked to a guy at a local shop who has a street fighter cabinet that has everything in it but does not run, he said he wants $200, I want it for a mame.
what do you guys think?

thanks.

testicle187:
It should all depend on the the condition of the cabinet, functionality remaining (such as if the monitor still works, even if the game does not), and size of the monitor.  I don't think $200 for a non-working Street Fighter II cabinet is that good of a deal, especially if the 19" monitor is shot.  You should be able to check around craigslist or Ebay to find a suitable empty cabinet or non-working game for a much better price.  Good luck.

Kiddk where do you live.  Try going to a place where there are a ton of games like bowling alley or skating rink.  Ask the owner if he owns the games.  If not ask him for the name of the name of the owner.  Sometimes there owners have more broken machines than working ones and would love to strike a quick deal.

I'm selling a Virtua Fighter cabinet.  I'm asking $300 for it.  After working on the cabinet a little while I realized that the shell itself is kinda messed up from the humidity down here.  It's got a 25" dual-resolution normal/high monitor that has zero burn-in.  There's a ton of pictures in the B/S/T forum.  All controls and coin door works.  The game itself plays flawlessly too.

I'm in the Atlanta, GA area.

Ask him how much he wants without the monitor. Price should drop to $100.
