2005 BYOAC Tokens SOLD OUT. Thanks!

Well, I finally got mine today.  They look great!  Still kicking myself for missing out on brass though.

For those members in CANADA, can you tell me if Customs hit you up for $13.79 in taxes and "handling" fees or if you received the package directly without fees?

Overall, Customs Canada seems to be hit or miss on packages from the US and it is really annoying.  What originally cost $51US then becomes $63CAN due to exchange rate conversion and then it becomes $75CAN with these added fees.  Grrrrr.

Santoro, correct me if I am wrong, but these were sold as "non-commercial" were they not?  If I can provide information to support this I may be able to get a refund.

Santoro:
I didn't claim 'commercial' or 'non,' but I was asked to declare what they are and I say 'arcade tokens.'  A few people have requested that I say 'gift' on the outside to avoid additional charges, but international mail fraud isn't my thing.

Canadian shipments are without a doubt the most problematic so far - a few folks took weeks to get their deliveries.  I think they must inspect them more often than other countries.

Hi Santoro, thanks for the quick reply.  I didn't mean to ask you to commit mail fraud.  It's just that I may be able to get a refund if it was a "non-commercial" import.  I took from your description of MAME vs BYOAC tokens that the MAME was "commercial-for profit" while the BYOAC was not.  No worries if you are not comfortable with my request, I am very happy with the tokens and your service.  Just getting really annoyed at Customs Canada.

I have always found that in my dealings with Canadian mail that it is INDEED the most problematic of any country.

I was actually referring to a guy in 2004 who 'demanded' that I write 'gift' on the front...  I wasn't referring to you... No worries.
