AdvanceCD is bloody amazing!!!
eggedd2k:
i wasnt expecting it to work but i gave it a go. just burn to cd and boot the computer with the cd in the drive. works on arcade monitor, has sound and loads super quick (even on a 500MHz PC)
absolute quality ;D
Grasshopper:
I tried it recently and was also very impressed. You can also install it onto a USB pen drive which is cool.
Unfortunately, I cannot get it to work with my new graphics card (Geforce 6600GT). I suspect this could be solved by replacing the kernel with a more up to date version but it's tricky to do this unless you also have a full Linux distro on your hard drive.
eggedd2k:
is that card not one of the supported ones?
ahmer:
My Intel chipset is also not supported for advanceCD :( but i know it is
great.Have you guys tried to enhance AdvanceCD,i mean to put more
games in the Roms folder before making an ISO amage.I did not try it
my self but once i get a new graphics card i will move towards Linux advmame and advmenu.

I've tried this but failed, I think my mobo is the culprit :(
I currently don' t have a computer in my arcade cabinet >:( I have my dual celeron system BUT I don't have a hard drive for it. I've been tempted to create an advancecd for it that loads roms from a network share.
