i think my tools suck :(
cbmeeks:
I don't know about jigsaws but I bought a drill from Lowes (DeWalt) for about $99 (forget the specs) and it will handle anything I through at it.

Wait a minute, this makes no sense. Are you saying that I don't have to buy every tool in the world? How can this be? I hope my wife never hears of this.

Nope, just buy the biggest one in each class and declare yourself the winner.
(Does not apply to tools with sizes - wrenches spring to mind. A 1-1/2 wrench is not what you'd call super useful in most aplications.)

Your best bet would be a circular saw, with a saw guide clamped in place to guide it.

This man speaks the truth!!!
I've never used a jigsaw for a box. I only use a jigsaw to cut out large circles(ie: speaker holes over 4").

Stingray, you have much to learn. I'm not saying that you DON'T have to buy every tool in the world. I'm saying HE doesn't have to buy every tool in the world. They will simply kornfuse him to no end. Grapes are a mind-bender, I'd bet ;D

::) I cannot believe it. You cannot simply buy the biggest one and call yourself the winner. There are numerous tools that require purchase of both the biggest AND of "backups". What tools might those be?
* DrewKaree looks over his shoulder to see if anyone's spying in on the conversation
pssst. ALL of them!
If I've got the biggest saw, AND a backup (or three), and you've only got the biggest saw, it's quite clear that not only do I win, but it also makes you a sally (or a nancy, take your pick) and you aren't even in a position to stumble across the finish line.

Send it to me. You have no creativity, and all your tools and your tool-carrying/owning license should be revoked. There is no reason on this earth that a man presented with the option to purchase a 11/2" wrench shouldn't take it....and purchase a backup, in case that one gets lost.
C'mere, I think after re-reading my rant, I've found a "use" for that wrench.....this'll only hurt for a few days....ready?
;D
