Extra CP Buttons

I'm almost finished making my 4-Player CP for my new cabinet. I have a question about extra buttons on the CP though. How many extra buttons should I have. I currently have Player 1-4 start buttons, 6 buttons for players 1 and 2 and 4 buttons for players 3 and 4. Do I need buttons for my trackball? If so, how many is ideal? Also, should I put other buttons on there for credit, pause, escape, etc.? Thanks in advance for you help.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Bloinkxp:
What encoder are you using?
For instance, I have my keywiz's (multiple panels/arcades) setup to use the shazam (shift funtion) for administrative keys.
For instance:
Shazam + --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type-- = Exit
Shazam + B1 = Tab
Shazam + B1 = Pause

I have more, but you get the idea.

If I were you I would consider extra buttons (two at least / three at most) for the trackball.  That way if you are in windows it will feel more mouse-like.  That is strictly my opinion  ;)

Post you panel!

Buttons for trackball, only if you use a frontend that is looking for mouse-clicks or PC games that are.
Credit - Generally like using the coin reject swithches, but if you don't have a 4-player coin door, I would add them.
Pause - Yes.
Escape - Yes, but maybe not a full-size button and maybe not on the main top of the CP.

The administrative buttons can be small ones that take up little space on the panel.  Or, if you want, use the shift/shazamm keys instead.  For the trackball buttons, I had smaller panels, so I took a swappable approach; however, its a matter of preference, as the bttons can be seperate or the first the P1 buttons, just run wires to both your encoder and trackball.
