Druins Interface.. Pin 1 location???

dabone:
Is pin one on the left hand side?

Later,
dabone

Druin:
I'll check it out in a minute.  I think I saw the pin numbers written clearly on the JST connector hood so I'll see what I originally listed in my pin map and make it all clear.

KenToad:
I'm interested to see Druin's answer, but, if you can't wait, Druin's board worked for me as the first pin being on the left.  This is contrary to the numbers on the 13 pin connectors included in Floyd's rotary adaptor, if that's what you're using.

Cheers,
KenToad

Druin:
I updated the FAQ http://ca.geocities.com/druins22@rogers.com/ls30/joysticks.html

I hope this matches KenToad's observation, if not then there's a lot of confusion.  The JST connector I have from my original LS30 shows every pin number from 1 through 13 so that's where I got this new info from with my pin outs.

KenToad:
Whoa, that pinout doesn't jive with what's working for me right now.  I have the connectors on the opposite way.  My black ground wire is clearly on number 13, which you have listed as number 1.  Maybe Floyd's pinout is just a guess as to which side was number one on your board?  Luckily, this is not more than a cosmetic problem, since the adaptor can be pulled off and reversed with ease, as I discovered I had to do to get it to work.

Cheers,
KenToad
