Stupid Question : Particle Board sealer

(1/3) > >>

General Zod:
Greetings all,

I have a question regarding particle board, and I'm hoping someone can help me.

Isn't there a sealer, or a glue of some sort that you rub or brush onto particle board, say where you drill a hole, that will protect it from flaking, chipping away? Sort of like a protector or something in that general area.

thanks in advance.

I think I remember someone used a "Minwax wood hardener" on one of the old thread, but I could be wrong.  I hope somebody can confirm this, because my centipede's cab is looking a little rough around the edges.

It's called "Paint".   ;D ;D

PoDunkMoFo:
Hello,

Don't know if this helps buy I use "Glue Size" to seal the edges of my signboards before I paint them.  Once you seal them the edges won't soak up the paint.   This might work for what you are looking at.

To make glue size mix woodglue and water untill you get something that is a little thicker than milk... Walla you have glue size.

Works great for edge sealing.

Hope this helps.
