IG-88:
Can anyone tell me if this game came out as a conversion or was it an original?

Chemixtry:
As far as I know it was a conversion. KLOV seems to confirm that.

IG-88:
Is that what they mean by "Conversion Class: JAMMA" then? I wasn't quite sure.

Not exactly.  What that means is that if you were to classify all the arcade games ever made, as far as potential for conversion, it would fall into the "JAMMA" class.  Street Fighter, for example, is conversion class JAMMA+.

For the original question... I dunno.

Chemixtry:
To expand on what cooter said, Jamma is a wiring standard (Japan Arcade Machine Manufacturers' Association). If you have a cabinet that is wired for Jamma any pcb that is jamma will be compatible with it. E.g. one of my all time favorite games Shinobi is not jamma it is Sega System 16, however another one of my faves Rastan is. You could use both pcbs (Black Tiger & Rastan) in the same cabinet. Jamma+ is a similar standard that adds a few extra inputs. I have a NBA Jam TE and 2 on 2 Open Ice Challenge in the same cab and they are both jamma+. I can easily switch from one game to the other.
