Minimum distance between joysticks

(1/2) > >>

Veinman:
I'm sure this has been covered, but searching for this particular topic is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Above is a quick shot of my control panel in adobe illustrator, with the bottom edge cut off for some reason. Anyway, the stick in the middle is a 4-way (Happ Universal) and the player 2 stick is a Happ Competition. I'm trying to make sure that these two sticks are far enough apart. There is almost exactly 4" center to center. Does that sound like enough?

Timoe:
It looks to me like you have a lot of room and could perhaps move your 4-way up

Timoe:
Here's my latest 4 player sketch (not to scale)

Its supposed to be 48" wide and approx 20" deep

paigeoliver:
If you swap that 4-way for a Happ Ms. Pac reunion stick then you can install the suckers with the bases touching and not have a single problem with it (provided the Ms. Pac stick is on the LEFT, must be on the left of the pair).

Veinman:
I do have a lot of room. The dimensions are 48" x 16". I wanted to keep as much room between the players and the back of the panel as possible, just to keep them away from the screen a bit.

I think comfort goes down as you move the joystick higher, but I may still move it a bit more yet. The lower it stays, the better it is for my artwork ideas, at least at this point.
