I'm going to have to put a vote in for Stuart Hamm (Joe Satriani's bassist, and a solo artist).
I saw him play solo live, and was absolutely mesmerized.

Unfortunately I never got a chance to see Jaco Pastorius live, but I love his recorded work.
Stanley Clarke would be another must-mention.

What about Les Claypool from primus or Cliff Burton from Metallica now those guys play a mean bass...

Kick had a 1 axis trackball, it could only spin left and right, not up or down. Spinner does the same thing.

Thanks for the correction paige. I remember playing that game A LOT when I was younger. I play it on my MAME cab with the spinner. Next time, I think I'll try the trackball and see if it plays better. I think I can disable the proper axis in mame setup... Thanks!
