do I need a Jpac or what???
« on: November 18, 2002, 03:22:49 pm »
I bought an Ipac a while ago and was very impressed. Everything works perfectly. I finally fixed the 25" Wells Gardner arcade monitor that came w/ my cabinet. I wired it up to my pc. I have my pc booting directly to dos and automatically loading arcadeos. I wait till I hear it load, then turn the monitor on. Everything is great until I pick a game. Then the frequency cuts out for a few seconds while the game loads, and my monitor is fuzzy. When the game does load, the monitor won't re-adjust to the frequency, so I have to turn it off, and then back on again-then the game looks great and plays fine. When I exit games, I have to flip the monitor off first and wait a few seconds until arcadeos screen is up again, then turn the monitor back on so I can see it. Does the JPac solve this problem? I mean, does it keep a constant frequency going into the monitor so that it doesn't lose the frequency between arcadeos and loading games? Also, since I already have an ipac, would I be able to just plug the JPac into the monitor and keep my Ipac as is???
Sorry so long!
Thanks!
LIAM

From what I understand, it does.

For the most part, but you'll need to plug the J-Pac into your I-Pac so it can get power from the PC.
