LuSID cab - can I shorten?

Most games don't have wheels, they are not needed.

I would chop the height out of the marquee area, or just ditch the marquee area altogether and make it stop at the top of the monitor.

lusid:
You could lose two inches of height above the monitor without an issue.  If you have the monitor already, you might measure it to be on the safe side, but I have enough space above the display on the original to lose a couple inches.

I designed it on the large side because I didn't have the tv selected yet.  It could lose a couple inches of depth as well, depending on your display.

Take off the 2" in the area between the control panel top and the monitor bottom.  I used the same plans and find that I wanted the monitor as close to the top as possible.  That leaves like 6" betwen the monitor bottom and the top of the control panel.  Don't take it off the bottom as that would make you have to bend 2" lower to reach the control panel.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.  Im glad there's space for moving between the monitor and CP, because when I build a cab, I want the exact same thing.

Wow, my cab would be a MAJOR pain without the wheels, especially at this early stage when I'm still debugging some things. I couldn't live without them.
