Not another SW yoke thread!

Flinkly:
cheap pots are cheap, and expensive pots, in the long run, are mostly worth it.  now i'm not saying that happs hasn't marked up their product, but a cheap pot won't be as nice as a more expensive one due to the way it varies the resistance.

again, i'm not saying that the happs pots are overpriced, since i'm not sure what a good price is, but there is a difference between pots.  might want to get a EE in here to tell us whats what and what a good price might be.

(EE = Electrical Engineer)

gl.tter:
Right, but even the better quality ones shouldn't be anywhere near that much.

Dexter:
How about the gears, would a model/hobby shop be any use? Does anybody know the spec of the small rear gear.

Also, Anyone know the order for the 5k pot from happ??

Lilwolf:
search under the joysticks I think... bottom of the page.

they ARE expensive though... wish bob roberts or some of the others had some good quality ones for cheap.

Dexter:
Finding the pots page isn't the problem chief!

I need info from somebody who has replaced the original pot with a happ replacement that the standard gear will fit over properly.

I think its just the 5k pot and small cog gear that I need to get the yoke working.

Are the small x axis and y axis cogs the same size/no. of teeth? Wheres the best place for cogs? 5K pot order number??

HELP!!!!
