Has anyone else grown to hate the word "cab"
geomartin:
A little before my time...are you suggesting a jazz cab?

I like this because a machine, as a whole, serves a purpose. Whereas a cabinet is referring to the wood structure.

I agree. I tend to think of mine as arcade machines too. The cab (or cabinet if you prefer) only refers to an empty box. Once it has all the goodies inside it's a machine. :) I usually say I have a NEO-GEO in a Dynamo cab, or I have a MAME machine in a Midway cab.

the first time I discovered this site and was reading through, someone used the word "cab" in a thread, and I thought they were talking about a Taxi cab.
nipsmg:
Cab, not so much.
*insert clever prefix*-cade is getting rediculous.
"Look at my new cabinet Ibuiltitmyselfcade!"
Then again, my cabinet is called Arcadia.. (I managed to get rid of the 'E' tho.).
