Found an optical microswitch

When I was in the Navy, I worked on Xerox machines a lot. It's amazing how many you need on a ship with only 150 people on board. Anyhow, the technical documents were available online somewhere. I'll look for that info. What you need is to find out the particular xerox machine designator ie, Docutech 594. We refered to them by other names. Anyway, when you get that info, google it and see if you cant find a parts breakdown for it. Usually if you call xerox with the specific parts info, you can get it from them direct. And hey, if you live in Norfolk, VA, you can walk over and talk to them in person. Not sure if someone has already tried that or not but, figured it might be helpful.

I bet Xerox has exclusive contracts with some parts suppliers. That way you need to buy parts from Xerox at a much higher price than if you bought them direct. It ensures Xerox gets more $$, and doesn't loose business to independent repair techs.
