control interface options
vartech:
I am building some cabs for friends. Cheap friends who want it done on a budget. I have the pc and monitors cab case etc.
The question is what are the options to interface the joystick and buttons to the pc
1. is IPAC
2. Gwiz
3. Keyboard hack (don't know how this done)
I would like this to be a simple turn on everything and start playing. they are not tech inclined and do not want to have to click on settings and do any adjustments.
Thanks ;D
ripzone:
If you are on US then go with a KeyWiz.
If on Europe go with an I-PAC.
I wouldn't go with the keyboard hacking because you will have ghosting problems.
If you are really on a budget then check out the LPT interface!

btw, I wouldn't worry at all about ipac shipping in the US.. Very fast and very cheap.
But both are great guys and good companies with NO complaints from anyone around here.
There is also the build your own -> a printer port thread around here... Your talking about 5 bucks in parts...
cholin:
You'll have to set it up then because of the drivers required. If they dont run Windows........
