I've designed, tested and implimented a modular mobile soldering station. It's a piece of foil with folded over edges, and a tiny metal stand for my iron.

LOL people are pretty upset about that :)  By the time we go through this, the cost of the main message would be like $50 to use all those trademarks lol.  I was going to say "I trademarked trademark" but I thought it would be hi-jacking this thread, but since nobody cares, I trademark the word I :)  The payment is a low one-time order of just $299.99 US!

I'm sorry, I've trademarked the US currency system.  I'd like a 1% royalty on all transactions carried out in US dollars.

Including the transactions to me, for the royalties.

And the royalties on the royalties, I'd like royalties on those, too.

Of course, that works out to less than 1.02%, so maybe it doesn't really matter.  :)

Ok wow 29 replies holy s***. ok if you couldn't think of this then a 14 year old is more creative than you.......

Ok really simple, no really

MATERIALS
hammer
Coat hanger
u shaped nails
sponge
Wood - cut to you own size. make sure you have 2
clamp
glue
(I used Some scrap MDF and some timber Floorboard but any piece of wood is good)

Ok Firstly bend and cut the coat hanger so you have one piece. Now get one end and bend it so you have a loop. Now go down the wire further (lets say the length of the tip of the iron the the handle.) and make another loop. Now with the bottom bit of the hanger bend it so you have a 45 degree angle. Now get your piece of wood and u shaped nails and start nailing the "soldering station" to the piece of wood. Next get your hopefully, identical piece of wood and glue it to the base. ok it's nearly done. now for the sponge holder. cut out a square from your sponge. next trace the square onto the base. get some u shaped nails and put 2 nails for every side and 1 for the corners.

Phew take a breather! I spray painted mine black to match.

oh you wanted pics yeah?

I trademark trademark and posting on forums so you all owe me $100 AUD ha how do ya like that?

OOOOHHHHHHHH, now I get it...see, when you put it that way, you actually didn't make one for a buck, your parents bought a ton of stuff and had it lying around for you to use.  Yeah, my kids have a free socket set, drill press, table saw....you know...stuff they didn't pay for either.

Quote
hammer
$15-$35

Quote
Coat hanger
Mom probably paid a lot in dry cleaning to get your "free" coat hanger

Quote
u shaped nails
Dad probably paid more than a buck for his box

Quote
sponge
Mom probably appreciates having to buy another one to replace the one that mysteriously disappeared

Quote
Wood - cut to you own size. make sure you have 2
That branch that fell in the yard, good job in drying it in your kiln and cutting it to the shape you needed.  Kudos

Quote
clamp
My kids bent two of mine so they're unusable.  I just went to the store and grabbed another one, since they were "free".  Those shiny bracelets the policeman wanted to give me....I just told him he wasn't my type, and I'm married....to a woman.

Quote
glue
You sniffed too much....see what happens when you use the "free" stuff?

Quote
(I used Some scrap MDF and some timber Floorboard but any piece of wood is good)
Thankfully they're still giving away samples at Home Depot and yo....what?  Well I didn't see the sticker there, and the alarm didn't go off so....well FINE then, but it WAS free!

Good job  ;) ;D

In case you do not realize I'm just messing with you, this is my disclaimer that you, sir, are a big fat doody head if you take offense to my joke, and if you show the slightest bit of temper, you will be giving up your right to be free from getting pantsed in public and left to walk home in the snow....uphill....both ways

lol, well, he did build it for one dollar, but BYO stands for build YOUR own, so therefore we need to be able to build one for a TOTAL value of $1, which did not happen, so I call this a lie :)  I think he was merely showing off that he did build one, in which case, yes its very nice, I like it.
