newbie mame ini help
« on: February 11, 2005, 04:20:29 pm »
I need some handholding on a mame problem,I'm can't get the mouse(trackball) to work in mame games.I know you need to alter the mame ini file and change mouse0 to mouse1,but I don't have a mame ini file in the mame directory and can't figure out how to create it with that cc config thing that the doc file talks about. Can someone please give me a detailed description on how to create this ini file?I've searched the forum and found a few hits but nothing that explains it clearly enough for me to make anything of it.I'm using regular mame(not mame32) with ultrastyle for the frontend.Thanks. ???

Never mind I figured it out, thanks for humoring a newbie,I was trying to run from the run command in the start menu, you need to run mame.exe-cc from a dos command prompt.
