another Tornado-Oscar PCb hack...
Thenasty:
First there was Maraxle

Then there was Krick

Now Thenasty Version.
What I did here was use a Plexi and measured the entire backside of the tornado and use the existing bolt hole to keep it in place. Then I cut a square in the middle for the OPTO of the Oscars Optic board and drilled hole on corners (krick) to bolt the Optic board in place.
I think this picture should clear everything up. I can also turn the Optic Board upside down (maraxle) but I did not drill the hole in the plexi for it, but that would be another 1min mod.

What do you guys have against foam tape?
I don't have a Tornado, but I've used it to mount Oscar's boards on just about everything else--with PERFECT results.

Foam tape doesn't last forever. I don't trust the glue with the cabinet insides heating up.
I also like something a little more permanent (but adjustable) and professional looking when I'm showing it off to friends and family.
But yeah, in a pinch, I'm sure foam tape would work.

Do people really see inside all your guys cabinets?
In the whole time I've had mine nobody's ever wanted to look INSIDE it.
They are all more concerned about "will it play this?", than "how does that hook up?".
krick:
When I tell people that there's a PC running an emulator in my cabinet, they kind of look at me funny like they don't really understand what I mean.
I guess they can't understand how the controls and everything hook up and they want to actually see it.
When I show them PC case and the wires connecting everything, then they get it.
