Multi-Williams Q about 8-Ways.

<< < (2/3) > >>

FractalWalk:
Okay, I'm totally confused as to what the question is.

Witchboard:
Let me see if I can reiterate.

I have multiple control panels.

I have a fighter control panel with already 2 8-way joysticks.

I want a multi-williams type control panel, but I don't want to have two more 8-way joysticks because that is redundant.

I am wanting a panel with at least 1 4-way joystick.

I am thinking about making the joysticks on the multi-williams control panel 4-ways instead of 8-ways.

I can still play 2-way williams games on the 4-way joysticks.

maraxle:
So, basically you'd make a Defender panel with a 4-way stick instead of a 2-way stick, since all the other games can be played on your other control panel.  I don't see a problem with that.

NoOne=NBA=:
Here was my logic.

I assumed that the entire reason behind BUILDING a Multi-Williams CP was to PLAY the Multi-Williams games on it, thus my conclusion that you were planning to play Robotron with 4-ways.

If you're going to play Robotron, Bubbles, and Splat on your fighter panel anyway, why not just add ONE button to it, near enough to the left stick to hit with your thumb, and play ALL the Williams games on your fighter panel?

Then build an Assault CP (one stick of which needs to be a topfire, btw), toss in a couple buttons, and play all the 4-way games on that.

That makes a whole lot more sense, at least to me.

And I'm STILL trying to figure out why they didn't put Moon Patrol on in place of Bubbles or Splat.
No logic there at all.

Witchboard:
Now that's the kind of feedback I'm looking for.   ;D  I'll look into it.  Thanks No...One...  ???  ;)
