What 'browse' music do you use in your FE?
Gunstar Hero:
Since the "theme" of my cab is "used to be a Pole Position," I'm pretty happy with the Arcade '84 background w/Arcade Ambiance, and feel no shame. Neener neener!! :P

nothing wrong with that, Gunstar :)

Unless your fe skin is a generic arcade skin (and if it is shame on you, it should be custom and themed to match your cabinet.) generic arcade ambiance sounds aren't neccessarialy a good choice either as they detract from the skin.

Well, I guess you could say my MAMEWAH skin is custom, since I did make it myself, but it's not anything slick so far. It's all blue and black with pizelated fonts. I will probably have different ones for different games lists and emulators at some point.
I do write music as another interest, and I, of course, like videogamey sounding stuff. I even have a SIDStation, which is a standalone synth that has the actual chip from a Commodore 64...but with full MIDI support. :) I might right some music for my frontend or just make some ambience myself. *shrug*

As a compromise, if you have a sound editing program of some sort (like SoundForge, or even the editor that used to come with Nero), you could overlay music on the arcade ambience track. I might have to try that myself...
Minwah:
I like having game tunes playing (usually ripped using M1), my skin has a generic feel so any retrogame music works great.
I made a Galaga '88 Medley recently: http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=15880&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1&new=1103090746
