What's your game room like?
RayB:
Umm, "embarassing" would describe mine. It's a 950 sq foot unfinished basement LOADED with stuff. Boxes n boxes of old junk, my summer tires, 3 bikes, a mattress, 2 uninstalled fireplaces, a big pile of laundry, a pile of empty packing boxes, some furniture (not organized in any usable way), tools, my work table (STACKED with arcade parts and other things), a freezer, cat litter box, and... oh yeah, 4 arcade machines in various working states...
This is what half of it looked like in July 2004:

I had NO access to any of my machines, and my work table. Ridiculous. Then I finally organized and de-junked a bit and moved alot of that stuff over to the other half of the basement. Now it's still a mess but I can walk around.

Dude you need to buy some shelf systems and take advantage of all that unused vertical space. It will clear EVERYTHING out while keeping all the crap. I did that in my basement, bought like 8 of them... cost me $30/pop, but it cleared out my whole basement into open space.
RayB:
What do you recommend? Home depot's shelves seem expensive. What did you get for $30--The bare wood kind?

just get those metal ones from home depot or something- those work perfectly. You wouldn't believe how much weight they hold! Works for
me... And I think I got them for like $12 each or something. 3 of those and you're set...

I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Home Depot, too, though they were a few dollars more than at BJ's.
