Converting Wico 8 way to 4 way.
Stingray:
I've been trying with no success to find a blue ball top four way stick to match the two 8 ways that I already have:

If I can come up with another blue wico 8 way is it just a matter of swapping the round actuator for a square one or is there more to it.
If anyone knows of a place where I can buy a blue ball top four way I'd appreciate the heads up.

Oddfeld:
Ultimarc sell blue balltop shafts to replace the ones on their T-Stiks (which are switchable to 4-way). Who knows though, maybe these shafts could fit something else too?
Their J-Stiks will also be available in other colours in a couple of months (red only atm).
These are all microswitch joysticks though...
SaiNRuB:
You defintiely need the body of the actual wico 4 way, it has a diamond insertion point on the top where it meets the shaft. Start with a good wico 4 way leaf and adapt that to use a replacement shaft.

I was afraid of that. Well I guess I'll continue my search for a real four way.

I've never seen a blue 4-way, nor have I seen a MICRO 4-way.
Your best bet is to get a blue leafswitch 8-way, and a red leafswitch 4-way, and then swap the sticks.
the only difference between the leafswitch sticks is the shape of the hole on the bodies.
The 8-way micros are the ones that use the square actuator.
It may be possible to swap the sticks between the micro and leaf sticks, but you'd have to ask someone that has both to be sure......PAIGE??
