(1/2) > >>

alundra:
so far ive only able to find one guide for building a arcade controller for psx..and im not really understand it clearly enough..basically all i know is to connect wires by solder one end of the wire to the psx controller buttons(the copper thing) and the other end to the joystick and pushbutton...is this all i need to do to make a arcade controll working, if i miss anything else please show me what i need to do...and about the ground connections...do i need to connect every ground from joystick and pushbuttons to the ground buttons on the psx controller..thanks

TalkingOctopus:
I recently purchased a ps2 and connected it to arcade controls.  I used all digital ps1 pads that you can pick up at gamestop for $5.00.  The soldering process is like what you describe.  You only need 1 ground, which you can daisy chain around all of the buttons.

Here are a few good links:

http://home.comcast.net/~spiffyshoes/DualShockHack/ - A solderless job!

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jdpyle1/controls_playstation.htm - not solderless, but gets the job done none the less.

Good luck.

thanks..but i still dont get it..first, what is daisy chain and how do i make it..
second..why all the wires connect to a connector..3rd..where exactly is the pink wire connect to on the other pcb..also there are bunches of hole in the connector, how to i know which wire should go into which hole..and i dont get whats the brown and orange(p360) wires for..

TalkingOctopus:
The reason they wired it to a connector is because they connect their controls to multiple systems.

thanks alot for clearing this up..i still wondering is the ground wire different from other wires, like size and current of the wire..or the same like other wires..because it seem like the black wire in the picture are smaller than other wires..thanks
