I remember my favorite 2600 game as being Indy 500 with the driving paddles.  Great fun, especially tag and the Ice tracks!  Dug it out a while back and it was still great fun.

Have you ever played PacMan on the 2600? How about Donkey Kong on the 2600?

BLEAH!

They look pretty much the same on the 400.  ;D

Hey! Pac Man and Donkey Kong are great on the 400. Donkey Kong for the 400/800 was the first home port I saw that had all 4 levels. 2600 had 2, and Colecovision had 3 (no Pie Factory). Defender was also great on the Atari computers and worthless on the 2600.

I think 2600 Pac Man and Donkey Kong are about the two worst conversions ever made for consoles. Can't totally blame the hardware, because Ms. Pac Man came out pretty good considering what they had to work with.

Adventure, and Space Shuttle by Activision, are absolute marvels--given the limitations of the hardware they were working with.

I think Jr Pac Man on the 2600 was quite an achievement.

I've ordered two of these joysticks previously... and they suck big donkey ballz.

Besides having the button mapping be weird (it has ONE button and it's recognized as BUTTON 2 -- which is pretty useless, and no software config to change it)

They are junk.  I was very dissapointed.  One of them one direction didn't work out of the box, and the other one quickly got jammed up (at some point I've got to take it apart and see why certain microswitches aren't clicking....

*shrug*

YMMV
