I-PAC and Happs Trackball interface

(1/2) > >>

TRIBOY:
I am a newbie and have read Project Arcade and newbie links but I can't find the answer.

I have my control panel figured out and I want to make wiring "as simple as possible"

This is what I have
(2)8 way joysticks with (6) pushbuttons on each stick
(1)Happs Trackball with (3) pushbuttons and USB/PS-2 conect.
      (4)player/coin up buttons,(1)pause and (1)exit button

I will be using the I-Pac to interface pushbuttons and joysticks into PS-2 port
and will plug in the Happs Trackball into USB.

Will this work? Will the I-PAC and track ball work indeependantly?
Or do you need to connect the trackball into the I-PAC system?

I want to use the trackball for navigation on windows and use it for gaming.

Any advice/links appreciated!

Thanks

You got it.  The trackball will show up like a normal mouse.

a standard Ipac doesnt support trackballs or spinners, you need an optipac, or minipac with optic harness

Thats my question? Do I need to tie the trackball into the I-Pac with an optipac?

Because I want to order the Trackball with a USB/PS2 connection, which I am assuming you can just plug into the computer?

Thanks

TRY TO GET THE PS2\USB VERSIONS.  THEY WILL SAVE YOU MONEY BUYING AN OPTIPAC.

UNLESS YOU WANT MULTIPLE TRACKBALLS  AND SPINNERS

I BELIEVE YOU CAN JUST BUY AN ADAPTER FROM OSCARCONTROLS TO ATTACH A NORMAL HAPPS TRACKBALL
