Minipac probs -- Anybody have (2) of these hooked up in one cab??
Bgnome:
i believe you only needto program 1 minipac and keep it in the alt config. it should retain the programming in the eeprom when you unplug it. then you plug the programmed minipac into the passthrough of the other minipac, which is set to default settings. this should allow you to have a primary minipac with default settings for player 1 and 2, and the minipac on the passthrough should retain the programmed keycodes for player 3 and 4.
now, this is completely theoretical and untested by me. i am pretty sure i read this before somewhere and it should work this way. since the minipac is seen as a normal keyboard by the pc, the second minipac should be seen as a normal keyboard by the primary minipac.

I have a similar setup using a J-PAC and Mini-PAC. I have the J-PAC using the default MAME setting for players 1&2 and the Mini-PAC in ALT programmed for players 3&4. The software for programming it however is really setup for players 1&2 so what you need to do is write down all the keycodes for players 3&4 and enter them manually. As I didn't wire mine up according to the instructions my config file won't be of any use to you, otherwise I'd just send it to you.
