Wrapping games for transport

(1/2) > >>

Chemixtry:
At the last couple of arcade auctions I've been to, I see some people have large rolls of some kind of plastic wrap to wrap the games with. Where can I find this? Does anybody know how expensive it is for a roll? When I used to work for Wal-mart I remember using to wrap pallets but I have no idea where to buy it.

JustMichael:
It is called shrink wrap and a google search should turn up several retailers.

fredster:
It's about $14 to $15 a roll.  You can wrap up lots of games with it.

Sometimes office supply stores sell it.  Wherever they sell cardboard containers usually sell it too.  It's used a lot in factories.

I bought a roll at one of the auctions some time back.  They had a guy with a truck that sold power supplies and stuff.

In a pinch you could use Saran wrap (seriously) to do about the same thing with one game.

Chemixtry:
Thanks, I didnt think about office supply stores having it.

FYI - its stretch wrap not shrink wrap. Shrink wrap is for gift baskests and stuff

Where I used to work, we used large format shrink wrap.  It was used to help reinforce parts that might break during rough transport.  Once applied we then heated it to make it shrink.
