That would be incorrect. Most people don't change their mame.ini file resolution. They keep it at auto. Most likely they are playing the game above 640x480. Turn verbose on and see what you are doing.

I think you are both right. Kindof...
I would say 'most people with an arcade cab & arcade monitor' prefer to run at native resolutions. So that leaves everyone who uses a PC monitor & probably TV (cab or not) - I would say the majority of these people just leave resolution auto...
SirP: I didn't spot it but what does 'Resolves less than one Pixel at 640x480' mean? Is that talking about accuracy? It says it supports up to 1024x768...
SirPoonga:
Right, but arcade monitor people is still a small percentage of even the people around here. Again, most people have it set to auto. I didn't say no one runs lower than 640x480. Just stating the majority of people will have their mame set to auto. Most of the cabs have computer monitors or TVs and don't event hink about optimizing the resolutions.
Yeah, that's their statement about accuracy, within one pixel at 640x480. Of course, screen size makes a big difference on that too. They support that higher resolution just to state they support it Doesn't mean you have any 1 pixel accuracy at that resolution.
Anyway, my original comment was that it wouldn't be hard for just those games to setup them up for 640x480 or lower.

I don't know anything about what was involved with this, but it does seem to answer the question on whether or not its possible. Does anyone know if someone else is working on this? Has anyone been in contact with ROR3 to let them know that a price drop would probably raise quite a bit of interest through this forum, if nothing else? I think this has great potential once the price point its hit!
